Butter Beans with bacon

Butter Beans and bacon.

Butter beans, bacon and tomatoes.


  • 2 x 14oz Cans Butter Beans. Rinsed.
  • 2 Tbsp any oil.
  • 1 Onion, roughly chopped.
  • 6 slices Bacon, chopped.
  • 1 Tbsp dried Marjoram.
  • 1 Tsp Paprika.
  • 1 Can Chopped tomatoes.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

Method


  1. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the onion and bacon.
  2. About 5 minute, until the onion is soft.
  3. Stir in the marjoram and paprika, cook a further 2 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and the butter beans.
  5. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve with some crusty bread.
