White beans and Tahini

White Beans and Tahini

Tahini give a nutty creamy taste.


  • Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 100g Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, chopped, if liked.
  • 2 Tsp Dried Oregano
  • 2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 3 Tbsp Light Tahini
  • 400g tin white beans, butter beans or Haricot. drained
  • 50g Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil to drizzle
  • 2 large slices sourdough bread, toasted, to serve

Method


  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the onions and cook until soft
  2. Add the garlic and spices, cook for 1 or 2 min to infuse oil
  3. Stir in the Tahini and 50ml hot water
  4. Add the beans and parsley, cook through to heat the beans
  5. Finish with Black Pepper and a drizzle of olive oil
  6. Serve with toasted Sourdough bread
